Evening lecture by David O’Sullivan: “Sanctions in Practice: How Can We Maximize the Impact of Sanctions on Russia in a Globalized World?”

Ghent University, MINOS and the Provincie Oost-Vlanderen hosted an evening lecture with EU Sanctions Envoy David O’Sullivan, moderated by Prof. Dr. Peter Van Elsuwege.

Mr. O’Sullivan shared the key outcomes of his diplomatic outreach to third countries, exploring the international impact of EU sanctions against Russia. This was the occasion to reflect on the far-reaching geoeconomic consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
